I was thinking about getting this book to get me started on my lucid dreaming path, but does anyone know what the difference is with the revised edition... should i get the revised one? should i get this book at all or will with forum be enough?

the unrevised edition is available online in free e-book form :S

"Revised"? Huh. Didn't even hear of a revised version.

For me, the most use I got out of his book(s) was reading the very inspirational examples of LDs. I read just a little bit before bed each night and pretty much guaranteed myself a lucid.

I'd recommend getting the book from a library first before deciding to buy it.

I haven't checked out the Revised version, but i have heard of it. I bought the original book, and found it very nice for inducing Lucids. Much like Mes, reading a little each night before bed helped get your mind in the right set to induce a lucid.

The revised version, assuming it doesn't cost much more than the original, would be worth getting anyway, because its bound to have more information somewhere in it.

I hadn't heard of a revised edition but perhaps you meant the following (which includes a CD):
