      Man, that was so dumb!

      I had a dream last night that I was just walking down a road, suddenly, I blurt out, "I am dreaming!" But, to my surprise, I didnt become lucid! It was so weird. Just thought I would share that.

      If you knew you were dreaming, technically you were lucid . It was probably a very low-level lucid dream, but it was still a lucid dream. Congratulations - change your user title!

      No, he probably meant his mind randomly went "I'm dreaming", I do that sometimes. It's like when you have a dream about lucidity but don't become lucid.

      I know how you feel, Caleb On two separate occasions, I tried to WILD while in a dream. Never even thought about the fact that I might be dreaming in the first place. Oh, and there was the time I was at a DV convention of sorts, talking with LDing with a bunch of people... It never crossed my mind that I wasn't awake.

      But honestly, take it as a sign that you're getting closer. The fact that you're thinking about dreaming in your dreams is a step in the right direction. Just keep trying and don't give up and you'll be lucid in no time.
