      Question What would you do?

I was wondering what the general population would do if you could choose between:

A: Living life as you do now and have occational lucid dreams or

B: Living life in a coma with constant REM sleep.

I personally would choose A just because I have lived it for most of my life but then again I have never, and probably never will, experianced B. I was just wondering because one of the main concerns of the people I talk to about lucid dreaming is "why wouldn't you just sleep your life away?"

Definitly A. I think a big thing about LD is how unknown it is. We don't know what our dreams are fully capable of. It intrigues us. But if you lived in a coma with constant REM, then you will eventually know everything because all anything is is an extension of your mind. LD life would become dull.

Life, no matter how long you live it (except maybe forever), will be unknown. Who knows what other people will do? Who knows what lies in the deepest parts of space? What will tomorrow bring? I think life can be just as interesting as a LD if we have the courage to constantly throw ourselves into the unknown. If you took at least one part of your day to do something that scares you, then life is pretty damn fun. But I don't think most people have the courage to do that. I know I don't. In a LD, we can do the unknown without fear of consequence.

After typing that, I think I need to take more risks in life. Hmm, I learned something about myself

I'd definitely not want to live in a lucid dream for my whole life. Sure, a lucid dream every night would be great, but eventually, the control and all-knowing powers would get boring.

I really agree with both of you guys. It only makes sense that Lucid dreaming is so great because you can't be lucid all the time and eventually it would get really boring. A ying and yang kind of thing. Thx
