Is it easier to Lucidly Dream if you have done so before?

      Hey I'm the latest newbie.

Once, I lucidly dreamed completely by accident (I was on an adventure holiday on a zipline, and the line broke, but I landed completely on my feet. Then I thought, "Huh? That's weird." and then slowly worked out I was dreaming. And I could control things, just like some of the experts do. I'd heard of lucid dreaming before, actually by watching an episode of "Star Trek: Voyager" years ago )

Anyway, I've decided that was a pretty darn cool experience, and would like to repeat it. What I would like to know is, if I have had such a dream before, will it be easier to get to have one again than it would be for someone has has just discovered what Lucid Dreaming is?

Also, I have had dreams where I have been "aware" before, its a recurring thing I have quite often when I know I am dreaming, and in my dream my eyes are open, but I freak and want to wake up, so I keep trying to open my eyes, then after a while i realise that they are open, and this freaks me out even more, because I think "If my eyes are open, how am I dreaming???". The annoying thing is after this revelation I wake up. Next time I do this I shall somehow try to calm down, if I can, but it hasnt happened for a while.

Iill try some techniques from the internet, anyway
Thanks for reading my looong post (well, long for me). The spelling and grammar is pretty good for me, too!

Short answer is yes. Once you have had a lucid dream, your brain can recall how it had the last one or how you were able to become lucid. Thus, it should be easier to have another one. Try doing a little research ... there are lots of different techniques for reaching lucidity. Keep a dream journal!

      yes.

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
