Question Do you make plans for your lucid

I ask this because before when i didn't make plans for when i became lucid i used to really enjoy my lucids, but now i make plans i stress over them because i am hoping i remember my goal, then i am changing it back and for etc. The last few lucids i have had have been very ordinary, i don't recall my goal and i ain't doing things that i would want to. (probably not fully lucid) I think the stress is also playing a big part in this.

I was wondering if anyone doesn't make plans for their lucids, they just become lucid and take it from there.

I don't plan them unless saying "i'm gonna fly" is a plan

I will just ride along with the lucid

I think if you plan it, then you'll get stressed. Dreaming isn't supposed to make you stressed.

      LDs: 3

      DILD(s) = 3

Third one was really short and unstable

Thats true. I am gonna make goals but i am not going to stress over them, if i recall them i do, and if i don't i don't.

Yes goals are good as long as you don't stress over them.

I've heard that if you don't set an intention before you enter your LD you might end up either wasting the dream figuring out what you want to do, or you'll have a greater risk of ending up in a non-lucid dream.

In a LD seminar video (posted somewhere on the forum I think) the guy said that he had an intention which he pursued in his lucid dream, which was to visit his friend. But as he was on his way to his friend he accidentally cruised into a non-lucid state. But because he had set an intention, he eventually remembered "Oh right, I was supposed to visit my friend" and so he became lucid again.

I myself have only had a couple of DILDs lasting about 10-20 sec, but I think it seems to make sense that having some sort of intention/goal for your LDs should be useful?

I think it's always good to go into a lucid dream with some sort of plan of action.

Go in and have some fun. You can attempt bigger, deeper things when you have a better handle of dream control and dream vividness.

      *edit*

And yes, I do plan. I like accomplishing the monthly lucid tasks.

I usually plan also. Though, its usually the same stuff I plan whenever I want to become lucid, so if I'm lucid and I didn't plan them before I already know what I want to do.
