If you skim through every page in a book, just overlook the pages real fast and you have a lucid dream about the book, will your sub-conscious know exactly what it said in the book, allowing you to read the book in the dream?

      Hey

Hey guys thanks for you views, in response to the question, i don't know if you could skim read a book and see it perfect in a dream,Interesting but i'm not sure,i guess trying it is the best ,let me know anyway.

p.s. from what i've read text in dreams may not always be possible, as quite often words will keep changing ect,,but hey anything is possible.

My lucid dream skills aren't such that I can practice real life activities in my dreams, but I can attest to the fact that visualization can produce tremendous results when learning a new activity.

I play guitar, and when I am learning a new song I will memorize the fretboard positions for especially difficult parts, and visualize myself playing it exactly in my mind - first slowly and then building up to the speed that I want to really be able to play it at.

Just recently I memorized a guitar part in the morning, played it slowly one to two times, then went to work; during lulls in the day I would visualize the guitar part including notes, finger positions, and picking. I did this quite frequently that day and really focused on imagining I was actually playing the part.

When I got home that night I grabbed the guitar and played the part almost perfectly, at a speed that I would have thought impossible to pick up so fast.

That being said, I am sure it helps to have some experience in real life with an activity before practicing in a lucid but I don't think it is really necessary. In your example, with learning to moonwalk, we all would at least be beginning with the knowledge of how to move our feet and at least imagine what commands we would send to our feet and legs to emulate the moonwalk.

That's true, but if the dream is 100% lucid? You're in control of everything, would that still affect reading text? It would be pretty awesome if it would work though. You can study while lucid dreaming.

I had a dream a few weeks ago where the only thing I could see was a letter, and I could read it like in real life. And a few nights later I was watching the news on an american TV channel (I'm not from the US...) and the reporter was saying really serious stuff, not cryptic bullsh*t like in most dreams. It was SO realistic. It even had the scrolling text in the bottom half of the screen (stocks).

Also weird is that the only thing I could see was the screen, there were no people in it, not even myself. It was more like a vision.
      Current projects:
      -Acquire the Aurora
      -Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active
