A random idea! :)

I was just thinking there now...there are loads and loads of ways to teleport to other locations in dreams...but there has been one right in front of my eyes for a while that could be really successful! and cool at the same time =P If anyone has read "His dark materials trilogy" by Philip Pullman (2nd or 3rd include what i'm talking about) they'll know about it. There is this knife in it called "The Subtle Knife" which is a knife used to cut openings to other worlds that exist parallel to those in the book. But I was thinking that it could just be used for teleportation!! just imagine you have the knife in your belt or pocket or find it or somehow get it in your lucid! And then once you have it, cut an opening (like a portal/rip in your world) and think about the location you want to go to and step through! It may have been suggested before but i just thought id mention it! Tell me what you think or if anyone has tried it out or something similar

I don't think I've ever heard of using a knife to cut a portal but that sounds like a great idea!

Heh, I've never read the book but when I was younger I remember day dreaming about a sword that could do something like that Very interesting idea. Very cool

A friend of mine does that in their LDs, they have a sword which cuts the membrane of space and time. It sounds pretty cool, I might try it out if I feel like it.

I think that's a great idea. I'll try remember to give that a try in one of my upcoming lucid dreams. What about instead of cutting just draw a door on the wall or floor or ceiling and open it, step through and see where it takes you. (swiped that idea from The Wastelands )

thanks for replying everybody! im glad you all think it's a good idea heh, doors would be awesome! but what if you go to open it and it's locked and you don't have the right key?!? :O it'll turn into a lucid nightmare! xD I love that series. <3 But I'd feel really guilty if I created a spectre each time! XD haha yeah that's troo...but in the dream you could make it so that each time you cut through you create a...umm...fluffy bunny each time??? i also <3 that series and would recommend it to anyone who likes a good read! ^_^
