How can I record my voice

I want to record a gradual awakening cd but I can't find any programs that will let me record my voice. Any suggestions?

Assuming you have a mic attached to your computer, you could always use Microsoft Movie Maker. That's the only program that came with my computer that would let me.

Audacity is the best when it comes to freeware.

If you have windows then you already have a program like that. It's called sound recorder.

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder

If you want to know how to put your computer to mic or mono (mono records sound directly from whatever's playing on your computer) then go to the recording control. That's found where you see the time on the lower right of your screen. Click the arrow to show everything and you should see a speaker. Double Click it, then click Options > Properties > Recording > Ok. You should see it from there.

Even though you're using Windows Movie Maker, I highly suggest the previously mentioned Audacity. Audacity lets you increase bass, de-amplify.. stuff like that. Alot of cool features, as well as basic editing tools that are way better than windows movie maker.
You do this every fucking time.
