Do you mean you are doing reality checks all the time?

If so, then it can probably be dealt with like any other OC

Have the RCs helped you to become lucid yet?

I'd say not really...because even though I did the RC when I see my dreamsign...I still miss it in the dream. So now I stop it entirely because even that also creates a strain having to look out for that dreamsign... Most of my lucids are from impresions of what a reality check is. Like if I did a few checks before bed, there will be an impresion depending on how big the reality check is...big as in series/set of different checks not just one check.

I have OCD, albeit not very badly. I found myself in the same situation as you however since then my OCD has gotten a bit better since I learnt to try and control myself. I used to wash my hands constantly, make sure doors/drawers were closed and I too was afraid that I may also make a habit out of RC's. Fortunately I'm able to control myself a bit now, I don't really have any advice. The only thing I could say is try and control yourself, start with little things however that is MUCH MUCH easier said than done. I don't think my case is as bad as yours.

I have no idea about the how it is to actually live with OCD....but heres an idea (please shoot it down, if its garbage).

Maybe do like 10 proper, focused and thoughtful reality checks every day for a week.

Then after the week do 6 or something whilst awake....and go to sleep knowing you have 4 more to do?

Not worrying that you havent done them...just KNOW you havent done them YET!

No, I can't do it all the time...it will drive me crazy. I only do it a few times but even so when I try to stop the urge to do....it's quite difficult and straneous. So nowadays I only do them very near to sleep or not at all.
