      Where does WILDing lead?

From my experience with WILDing, it doesn’t always lead to REM type lucid dreaming. It can lead to experiences and areas of consciousness other than lucid dreams. It always leads to areas that are normally considered “subconscious”. However, if some consciousness is maintained such as in a lucid dream it is not “subconscious“. If consciousness and recall are lost, then it is considered “subconscious“.

WILDing may lead to, false awakening, (and lucid false awakening), an empty void where only pure consciousness exists, an empty void where only pure consciousness and the dream body exist, and it can also lead to dialogs with the inner voice,… problem solving, etc. All of these are while the body is asleep, can be recalled upon awakening, and can be beneficial to the WILDer.

Has anyone else ever experienced these or similar things?

Generally speaking, “WILD states of consciousness”, can also help make “visualization” more successful!

It's an altered state of consciousness, there are many levels of it. It's all technically a lucid dream or hypnogogic imagery. What the Buddhists call enlightenment is scientifically a lucid dream from the descriptions.

Something like that... different things happen different times. Each experience is worth while. I never had anything bad happen. Sometimes the same techniques do result in a LD, sometimes I wind up somewhere else...

Sometimes the hallucinations and hypnogogic states right before I cross over are a bit alarming, but I've sort of gotten used to that.

One of the techniques I use often is to lay on my back and relax my mind and body, like meditation or mind control. When I hear myself snoring, I turn on my side and go deeper, deeper, and deeper,… until I find myself somewhere else.

So what you are saying is that once I've crosses over into a deep delta state with consciousness, that it's all technically lucid dreaming with different types of content. I guess that explanation works.

However, I've always thought of enlightenment as perpetual or sustained "super consciousness" during waking life. I have experienced super consciousness, during Kundalini yoga and sometimes when I'm in the creative mode, but have never been able to sustain it indefinitely.
