      A question for WILDers

      hey WILDers, i want to try WILDing (i am new to the concept), as i have only ever DILDed. I tried WILDing last night and here was what i did (correct me if i did something wrong): i layed in my bed and closed my eyes. i amigined a beautiful beach and tried to keep it in my mind for like 10-20 min. i experienced no "vibrations" or and vividness. i just ended up getting very VERY bored and just rolled to my side and fell asleep. any techninques that could make this better?

      What time did you try to WILD? At the head of core sleep or during a nap?

      When i WILD i wake up after having 5-7+ hours sleep.

      You have to lie perfectly still, dont even move your eyes a lot. The idea is to trick your body into thinking you are asleep. If you get any weird physical feelings, just experience them, dont get involved with them but dont ignore them.

      WILDs won't work until you are in a REM cycle, in other words, if you try to WILD at 11pm when you go to bed, it won't work. You don't hit your first REM cycle until you have slept for around 90 minutes. Lots of people combinate the WBTB technique with WILD.

      I've Wilded on school nights before (more like mornings), usualy my wilds are more deild like, were I'll wake up for awhile and just lay there in bed thinking then start using my imagenation to get me in the dream, to wild, you either stay very still, or have a very strong sense of imagenation pulling you to the dream, I've spent along time exercising my imagenation, and I'm still not really sure I could use an alarm yet, they wake me up to much, but I've gotten comfterbal with a dream scene before but it still wasn't very strong.

      I think you could have added on to the beach scene, wilding with imagenation is all about adding to it, add sounds/music, the feel of the sand under your feet. And perferably crawl on your stomach because it has more sensations to add, or ride a bike, or one of those motor sled things on the water, or whatever their called, feel the seat and handle bars, and feel the moving of the ocean, add clothing to, and wind, make the clothing wet and the wind kind of warm and fast for best results.

      May seem hard at first, but practice before going to bed eachnight, or well your not doing anything/waiting for something.
