      Question Was this HI Imagery?

I decided to take a nap earlier, since I stayed up all night a friend's last night and I was exhausted.

So, as I was laying down, I was almost instantly getting those light headed and "pillow sinking" feelings you get when you are going to sleep. Pretty soon, my arms began numbing, but not like before! This time, they were so numb, that I couldn't feel my hands at all. I decided to look into my eyelids, and I was getting more than just the normal flashing and waving colors.

I saw a figure of a man in the form of the colors. He was walking in front of me, and he turned around and pulled his arm out to point at something. I redirected my eyes to another spot, and this time I watched the flashing colors form a dresser. This dresser wasn't the one that was in my room; For one, because I don't have a dresser in front of my face, so I knew that i wasn't just inching my eyes open and seeing the one in my room.

The waving colors began taking different shapes; they were forming some kind of a room. I tried to convince myself to stop looking at them; but it was so fascinating! The colors then formed another man, but this one looked more like a tall alien. The colors were tripping me out, and I started to flinch. This broke my concentration, and I accidentally opened my eyes up.

Weird. Was this what you guys call "HI imagery?" Because I thought I could clearly see this scene playing inside of my eyelids, and I could clearly make out the figures and objects that I was seeing.

Yes, that is HI. And by the way, "HI Imagery" is redundant. HI means Hypnagogic Imagery, so saying HI Imagery is the same as saying Hypnagogic Imagery Imagery which doesn't make sense :p

      Cool. Thanks Inferne
I do want to re clarify something, though, and that is that the scene I saw wasn't as vivid as real life- rather, it was the darkness confined inside of my eyelids, with the colors that you see when you close your eyes forming people and objects. They were like shadows, but colored in red, blue, and purple. They didn't have any facial expressions, and whatever they were doing, they weren't aware of me and they were just going on with their own businesses.

Has anyone had any similar experiences?
