Thread: What is a Reality Check?

What is a Reality Check and why is it so important, I'm very new to this so simplify it please?

It's when you do something to check if you're dreaming. For example, plug your nose and check if you can breathe. If you can breathe, then you're dreaming. But the thing is, if you do these throughout the day, every day, then you might do one in a dream, and that would let you know that you're dreaming.

it's something you do daily, several times a day, until it carries over in your dreams. by carefully examining a clock to see if the numbers are all correct several times a day, eventually you might do this in a dream. if the numbers are distorted, you will know you are dreaming and become conscious. there are many reality checks you can do.

the one that worked for me was writing "Are you dreaming" on the back of a card. i'd look several times a day for a moment, look away, and look again. once the words had moved or changed, i knew it was a dream. it was a pretty awesome experience, give it a try.

Thanks guys, I've seen this mentioned all about on this site and other LD sites, I can't believe dreaming is that incorporating with the "latest events and scenerios", well wow. I will do what you suggested mrTroad, thanks all of you.
