Can anyone tell me what just happened to me last night? Paralysis or Lucidity or what?

A little background: For exactly ten days now I've been keeping a dream diary to try and achieve lucid dreams - I've simply just been writing down the dreams I had as best as I can remember, so this may have something to do with it.

Basically I'm wondering if this was the starting of a lucid dream or sleep paralysis and if tonight is going to be even more indepth.

The weirdest thing happened while I was sleeping. I had just finished reading an e-book at it was like 2:30 when I got to bed. I envisioned myself fighting a tiger, and then as I was drifting off to sleep techno music started playing in my head, like I was creating music as I was drifting off. It was a neat sensation. But that's not even the weirdest part. The next thing I knew I was dreaming and apparently I was playing airsoft or something with my friends and I was high. I remember running around a corner and throwing a grenade around a corner incase my enemies would appear there (subconscious Halo 3 referance maybe?). They didn't and I remember just sort of embracing the feeling of being high and I remember stopping and just grinning stupidly and resting my head against the wall as this pulsing sensation (which sounded sort of like iDoser or white noise... which also reminded me of the sound a washing machine makes) got louder and louder in my head until I felt myself just consumed by it. I slowly came to as I remember feeling drool on my lips and my entire body felt completely numb/paralyzed and like my legs were levitating. It took me a awhile before I could move my legs again but that was the weirdest dream/sensation EVER! The weirdest thing is that I checked my clock at it was only a little past 3:00am!

I can relate. Sounds to me like you had a WILD. Very similar to how I have Wilded in the past but the problem is that they are hard to hold on to.

I can really relate to the music playing. Sometimes it seems as if an entire band is playing in my room. I can hear the music very vividly. You will begin to recognize these type things as you starting to enter the dream world. It will make it easier for you to WILD in the future.

I don't know much about the noise that brought you out of the dream. But is sounds like you made some progress to me. Good going. I have had some trouble having a DILD but have found WILDs to be awesome. Good luck to ya. Hope this helped somewhat.

Thanks for the replies guys, but what is WILD? And are there any ways for me to replicate it again?

I can't say if it was a successful WILD because you didn't say whether you knew you were dreaming when you were dreaming. If you were, then it was WILD, otherwise you came very close. You were conscious of falling asleep (I hear things too when I'm falling asleep) and then you "woke" to find yourself in SP.

Yeah, I knew I was dreaming. It was pretty obvious with the obscure layout (I remember just a wall, everything else was dark except for the brown wall)
