      The Celestine Prophecy

Read this book. Each and every one of you.
.......Then I think of my youth and of my first love-when the longing of desire was strong. Now I long only for my first longing. What is youth? A dream. What is love? The substance of a dream.

I did, I got suprisingly far before I gave up.
My wife got even further and she's less critical than I am

      It really isn't 'my thing'

      [EDIT]
I also don't feel that blatant demands are going to cut it here

Do a quick google for a summary of it - it's mystical sort of stuff introducing ideas of psi and other psychic ideas with a story line. The main character goes on a journey (with a crap plot) discovering it all.

      Damn skeptics.

The internet is a wonderful thing, that is why I didn't elaborate. It's basically a book that can change your life, and your view on existence. Unless you're skeptical. I highly recommend it.

I'd like to remind you that I practice telekinesis. Extrapolate any opinion you like from there
      I'm skeptical, but openminded too.
Interestingly, 'skeptical' is listed as a synonym for 'questioning'. Wow, how unreasonable I've been all this time... questioning things before I suck them in as truth

I think we should start over. I haven't been active on the forum for some time, but I just read the celestine prophecy and dreamviews kind of popped into my mind.

The story is shaped like a parable, and it talks about how since the dawn of time matter has absorbed energy to vibrate and create more complex forms of matter. Human beings would be the last of these forms and the books explains human behaviour and other things based on the flow of this energy. It's a short read (280 pages) and it provides some pretty good insights into human psychology and relationships.

James Redfield takes care not to impose a point of view, but to invite you to pay more attention to the world around you telling you what to look for. It's an international bestseller and stayed on the New York Times Bestsellers list for 165 weeks, and I think it should be on anyone's to-read list.

You practice, but do you succeed is the question? Don't suppose you have a youtube video handy?

Are you talking about dream sharing? that stuff is highly debatable.

No im not talking about dreamsharing... I just don't believe manipulation of matter with the mind is possible. Only if that matter would be on the same energy plane as your mind, then it would be possible. And it's only in dreams that mind is on the same plane as matter..

Anyone feel free to explain me how telekinesis is supposed to work.. or show me a demonstration :p

Of that I have no doubt, just the way it was worded seemed like he was claiming he could do it in the waking world. In which case, in this age of technology I'd expect to see a youtube video backing up the claim.

Not that a video couldn't be faked or altered in some way, but its better than taking someone's word for it.
