Thread: Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming

Own it, read it, I think it's fantastic.
Didn't help me have any more lucid dreams, but it did help me understand what lucid dreaming really was.
Now that I'm getting much better at having them, I'm looking forward to rereading the book with a better appreciation!

I have read it completely through once. I often read a chapter here or there, just when Im thinking of LDing.

I haven't read it yet but I'll read it this summer!

What is so good about it?

If it wasn't for EWOLD, you probably never would have heard of lucid dreaming. Like others have said, it's the LD bible.

I would say they serve different purposes.

While there are of course introductory tutorials on this site, the strength of Dreamviews is the community - being able to discuss lucid dreaming real time with other people interested in it. The fact that it is a dynamic repository of information allows for continuous invention and feedback for new (and old) ideas related to lucid dreaming.

LaBerge's book is more of a basic textbook that introduces you to concepts and methods (including some not widely discussed on Dreamviews) in a linear fashion, as well as providing chapters on different ways in which lucid dreaming can be used or experienced for maximum personal benefit.
