I have dreams where I'm being chased fairly regularly, but I never have fear associated with it. More like an annoyance of "I can't get away from this person/animal/thing, what a bother". |
|
When was the last time you had a nightmare? What was it like? |

Lol, I haven't had any nightmares since I was like, 10. |

What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?
Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?
Without lucidity, I would have many more nightmares than I do. I had my last nightmare a few months ago. An old man got squashed by a train. It went from a normal lucid dream to a nightmare in a second. Unpleasant. |

A slight nightmare I had was three nights ago when I was acting extremely violent to a dc. This guy was mouthing off to me and I felt in pretty foul dream mood I wanted his blood, I kept smashing him in the face, pummelling his ribs, anywhere I could hit, I just wanted to hurt him. it was awful and I couldn't stop. and his eyes were like "why are you doing this?". and it just went on...and on, by the time I stopped I was in shock. |
|
I had one dream a while ago where I was being chased by someone and it was a little frightening. I woke up and I was trying to figure out how to hide when I realized I had been dreaming. I guess this counts. Besides this I hadn't had a nightmare in a few years. When I was little I guess I thought my nightmares were real, because I was always really afraid of certain places because I had nightmares about them. |

I stopped having nightmares when I was about 8 years old. |

I'd kill a man of any complexion with a devilish nature

Exactly, It's common knowledge that some people who are naturally able to influence their dreams will have less nightmares. I havn't really had them that much until last week, normally when bad things happen in my dream, even if I'm not lucid, I can stop them from happening |

I rarely have any nightmares. |

I had my last nightmare ages ago... I was trapped in my own basement by the KKK for some reason and they were about to preform some experiment/torture me. When they looked away I grabbed a scaple (don't ask) and stabbed one of them. Then I ran through the house to try and get to safety. They other KKK guy chased me and at some point became a troll... I became lucid when I was asking my parents for help and realised that "they never help in drea- wait, I'm dreaming!". The troll caught up with me just as I connjuured up a staff and I sent some sort of spell at him, making him slam into the wall and explode. |

- Oscar Wilde
I can't even remember my last nightmare. The last one I can remember turned into lucid automaticallly and I woke myself up from it, from random dream fear and lack of confidence that I would be able to stop my nightmare. |

I'm new here, and this happens to be one of the reasons I joined. I have been having nightmares (not more than the usual person has) since I was extremely young and they were always scary (I guess thats the point) but last month I had nightmares for 1.5 weeks straight, completely unrelenting. |

Well that's the weird part. I checked everything I did for the last half of that week and a half, and nothing was out of the ordinary. I am on no medication, and for the most part, I'm an average person. No diet problems, no medical conditions, and I normally turn off the computer before I go to bed. I think it was just a freak accident, but I was wondering if anyone else experienced that so we could swap notes. Thank you for the help, though. Anyway, it made great material for a book I'm writing. |

uh...i just seem to have them more often than other people and i used to have night terrors when i was little |

I have natural SP every few months which leads directly into lucid nightmares. The last one I had is what inspired me to join DV. I don't recall ever having a non-lucid nightmare. |
|
I had my first nightmare in about two+ years just a few days ago. |
|
I used to have nightmares about once a month when I was a kid. Ever since I can remember I've been fascinated with the dream world. I haven't had a true nightmare ever since I was 12. I still have dreams that could be classified as nightmares, but as I got older and especially since I found out about lucid dreaming, I seem to be able to passively analyze my dreams. The "nightmares" I have about once every 6 months hardly effect me at all. I just wake up, and think, "That was an interesting dream..." and then I go back to sleep. I actually like these types of dreams as they seem to be more vivid. |
|
I had a series of 3 nightmares a few days ago, something with a hauted house, some monsters and a rude guy attacking me (I smashed his head into a wall to get rid of him). |
|
Sanity is a madness put to good use; waking life is a dream controlled.
I thrive off of nightmares, they tend to be some of my most vivid dreams. |
