No, and saying so is ignorant. Brain biochemistry is incredibly complex. Even such things as breathing more can affect it. Hallucinogens deal with the neurotransmitters in the brain, tampering the way they'd normally function. Take painkillers, for example: they block the cells' ability to transmit pain neurotransmitters. Hallucinogens have a wider effect on that delicate structure, and for reasons unknown it (supposedly) ruins dream recall. How exactly that happens is unknown and impractical information. |

Saying quantum physics explains cognitive processes is just like saying geology explains jurisprudence.
I think it has to do with the state of mind. I can't WILD on command. But when I lay down to go to sleep at night, I can tell if I will be able to WILD or not. There is a certain state of mind where I get hypnagogic imagery easily. If I have that before sleeping I am pretty sure I will have a WILD, but it is random. |

Alcohol is more damaging than marijuana, though marijuana has THC, which is addictive. |

I can dream well when stoned.. but I do find that my brain becomes slightly numb and relaxed and unable to lucid dream well. |

i smoke occasionally. when i go to sleep drunk or stoned or both, i can fall asleep a lot quicker than usual. and my mind generally is all over the place and cannot stay focused on breathing or whatever. so i can't WILD. beyond that, my recall is killed in the morning so DILDing doesn't work. |

Every time I quit smoking pot for a while, I notice my dreams becoming much more vivid and instances of lucidity go way up. I'm sure I have had lucid dreams after smoking pot...but very rarely. |

I can't stop laughing about this thread, the people who have never had any experiences and are so proud, then the people who act like they have pounds hidden under their bed. then the normal people who think its fine and/or smoke occasionally. |
