Now then, Imagine this.
The Expert Lucid Dreamers here learn to take control of there dream so well, they can spawn stuff in a snap. OK! a lot of people can do that anyway! but what if you spawned the thing in your hand in the dream, and you woke up with it in your hand. Imagine that you could just warp into your mind.*see picture*


kind of like a different version of life, and you broke the connection.

So the world itself is like the matrix.
or like you combined the two worlds.
just imagine it.
remember, anythings possible
and then discuss.

Why do you think this is possible?

I'm not saying it is not. I just want to know why you think it is.

I don't really think it's impossible, but the fact of it being possible is well..possible.
I mean, remember in the matrix, how if you die in the matrix you die in real life?
I believe the same concept could come in here, but in a way more advanced term.
I'm just trying to keep my mind wide open *look at user title*

The Matrix was a movie. Remember, having an open mind does not necessarily mean believing in irrational things.

how do you know what is really irrational and what is not?
that is the true question.
maybe the only reason it's irrational to people now is because it seems too "impossible" and hasn't been tested enough to see real results.

This is my first reply in this forum and I'm already derailing the thread . Sorry, it's not my intention. If you want to move this to another thread, or something, just say so.

First of all, we don't know what is rational and what is not.. It could be different for everyone. There could be an alien race billions of miles away that sees things in a totally different way than we do. But that doesn't mean we should adopt their way of thinking, does it? Who am I to say what is rational? Who are you to say it? What we see as rational, whether it is a universal rationality or not, is the best thing we've got. So, we better work with it. Change for the sake of change will only set us back.

Yes, it's possible, but here's what it would take. I instruct you to:

1) Translate your brain waves into energy
2) Use that energy to move atoms together
3) Those atoms change, bind some minerals, form together
4) This forms the object in your hand.

Yup, it's possible. As possible as a human walking to New York, picking up the Empire State Building, and carrying it with his bare hands. Then again, you never know.

It is possible. People would lock you up in a mental institution, but that wouldn't matter would it? You'd never know what's really going on. People should remember that all you have to do to bring the matrix to real life is somehow acquire permanent controled hallucinations or dreams. In the end, even waking life doesn't mean that you've left "your head" and started living outside. All that happens is that dream imagery switches places with "real" imagery. So Dash, I disagree with you. In the end, all you have to do is take some drugs. Sorry for derailing the topic myself, but why do people keep trying to explain this internal, subjective life with the external one. How do you know that you aren't dreaming right now, perhaps you're allready locked up somewhere due to insanity... who knows.

I'm going to expiriment with something tonight if I have a lucid dream.
