      Scared to LD

I keep reading these scary stories of people seeing scary images and feeling things during SP!

Now i'm scared that if i try to WILD i'll open my eyes an see some scary little girl like from a horror movie, or one guy said he saw a bloody pigs head!!

I'm also worried that now i know about it, it's gonna stick in the back of my head and it'll be more likely to happen to me!

      anyone else feel this way?
and how do you overcome it?

It can't hurt you. It's you're creation. Keep that in the back of your head and you shall never fear again.

I however can say that sometimes there are dreams of pure fear where you are scared without knowing why. I think some hormone or chemical is released in your brain make you terrified. But then you wake up and think what a cool rush!

You know when you're a kid and you're scared to jump off something high but you really want to do it. So you JUST JUMP... and then you're glad you did?

Well, I think you should just jump.

If you have a slightly weird experience or a slightly frightening one, at least know it won't last forever or permanently damage you. And you might not experience anything frightening at all.

Try to think pleasant thoughts instead of obsessing about scary ones.

btw I'm a newbie so bear that in mind when you read my "advice" lol...

i'm not really scared about having nightmares

it's just being paralyzed and seeing something that's not supposed to be there

lol i already crap myself (not literally) every time i walk downstairs at night because i'm always imagining turning the corner and seeing something like a zombie or a ghost xD
i know it's not going to happen but it sticks in my head anyway

so the thought of actually seeing this stuff and being paralyzed at the same time isn't too good

I know what you mean, and it can be a scary thought. But as others have stated, it is YOU who are creating the image, it is coming from YOUR brain. If a frightning image comes up, perhaps you could try changing it or just ignoring it. Something I personally find useful for when I see something scary is I try to purposefully stare at it and think of some funny oddity with it. Joke to yourself, just try to be lighthearted about it. And of course, it is likely that you wont even have a frightning image come up in the first place!

Once you enter SP, most likely you will soon find yourself in a dream

And not everyone sees hypnogogic imagery (HI) during SP, it really just depends on the person.
