Well, it failed, but it was awesome!
I didn't have any way of waking myself up in the night except for naturally waking up. I may try drinking a lot of water before bed tonight, or I might not. So, I decided to try a WILD right away. I was kind of tired, so that helped. I concentrated on breathing, counting 1 as I breathed in, and say "I'm dreaming" as I breath out, 2, "I'm dreaming", and so on.
After I got to about 66 or 67 I started noticing some lights, and my body felt heavier. I kept counting, and then started to create a dream scape. It was working for a bit, and I started feeling like I was sinking and floating at the same time. It was really weird; kind of hard to explain. It's like I was drifting away. I think the reason the attempt failed is because I started getting a little scared and my breathing got a bit erratic.
I really liked the feeling, so this time I'll probably do better! Also, It didn't help that my Allergies were really bad and I kept having drainage that I just couldn't help but swallow. I tried not to for a bit, but I started gagging a bit. I think I would have anyway, so it didn't matter.
So, maybe WILD's can work, even if you're just going to sleep without first having a few hours of sleep. I am defanitly trying it again tonight though!
