      Does travelling alter/affect dreams?

I'm sure it does, but I was just wondering if maybe this influences lucid dreaming?

It seems like since I'm in all these new places (Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague.. so far) a reality check is more meaningful because my waking surroundings aren't normal (as they should be back home).

      Does anyone catch my drift?

      Cheers!

For me, the answer is absolutely. When I was travelling in Belarus last year, it readily effected my dreams, and seemed to inspire a few lucid dreams on their own.

I think just being thrown out of your everyday routine does the trick, causing something new and exciting to happen in your dreams.

I have to agree. When travelling I typically have many and quite colorful dreams!

Since I posted this thread I believe I have found the answer to my question.

I have had so many dreams that are in different places, with more vividness and I tend to recall them more than I would normally. Its strange but I like it.

Im posting from Prague now and this flipping keyboard is so messed up. I cant find a way to type apostrophies and the z and y keys are flipped and its driving me crayz! (no pun intended there, that was completely accidental).

Last month, I made a point of changing up my routine to help with dreaming. I did things like visiting the house I grew up in, drive home from work by a different route, visit places I had never been, sleep in strange places.

I don't know if it helped my dreams directly, but it definitely helped me stay excited about life. I have to assume this excitement carried over into my dreams.
