      Question Distorted Dreams

Whenever I remember my dreams, they're always vivid and distorted. For example, last night I had a dream about my school, but it didn't look like my school in RL. It could definity tell it was my school, but it was very different.

Is this normal? Does anybody have dreams where the setting looks exactly like RL?

Maybe you could use this to tip you off for a lucid dream. As you walk around all day, look for things that are out of place, and question if this is really what your school, house, ect look like.

I think this is pretty common, but it doesn't always have to happen. I have had dreams that were recreations of real places, so real I was amazed I could remember such detail.

When you are in the distorted places, do you just somehow know that it is supposed to be your school, even though it doesn't look like it? How do you know what the place is supposed to be? Is there just one or two things out of place, or is the whole place totally messed up?

i know what you're talking about. it happens to me all the time, i'm in my house or something and i know it's my house but it looks completely different. or sometimes it would be my old house or my old school or something. from my experience it's normal but i can't say for everybody.

      Hmm...thanks, that's a good idea. I'm gonna try it.

In distorted places, I usually just know where I am. The dreams are quite different from RL, but there are some similarites. Maybe the color of my house is the same, or the place looks like RL, but there are buildings and roads and other things just added or changed.

No, my dreams are always distorted like yours. In fact, I've had the same incident with my school... That was my first lucid dream. Every dream I remember has been a place I know & recognize, but when I wake up, I realize that it didn't look exactly right.

I think what Robot_Butler said was right. That's a good way to clue you in for becoming lucid. Good luck.
