      dreaming of lucid dreaming

      bear with me on this..

for a while i thought that false awakenings must be proof of LD's (if ever you needed to prove it to someone)- because when you're dreaming, you don't know you're dreaming and therefore cannot "awake" from it. so only during a LD would you be able to have a false awakening because of the fact that you know you are dreaming.

but then i realised....simply having a good knowledge of Lucid Dreams, and perhaps it being part of your life so to stimulate LD related dreams, might cause you to dream of waking up.

this morning i thought i had an LD but i'm really not sure...i'm convinced that i dreamt of having an LD.

the fact is i'm a pure beginner to this, and yet everything seemed so textbook. for a start it felt like i had about 5 straight consecutive LD's (although short). everytime one ended i would wake up, turn to the side and proceed to start dreaming again.

also, everytime i was dreaming, i would read something, turn away, and read it again, and everytime it said something different and i thought "yep..i'm dreaming again". but the thing is.....in my day to day life, i NEVER perform reality checks.

in one dream i was also flying. i did this by letting myself fall flat on my face, but before i hit the ground, i would stop mid-fall with my self hovering over the ground. from there i just flew around.

now i'm sure i read that "technique" of flying somewhere in these message boards, but never thought of it since.

i think that i had a dream about lucid dreaming. it seems that every scrap of information i have in my head about LD's, has manifested itself in a dream in the amalgamated mess that dreams, or at least MY dreams, tend to be.

Probably dont rememebr them. Thats how you can go from one dream to the next sometimes. You jsut wake up and continue dreaming.

If somebody needs proof of lucid dreaming, punch them in the face for being such an idiot.

I have had a few false awakenings in the past without being lucid. Normal dreams can be the same as lucid dreams, except you just don't know you're dreaming.
