      is anyone here able to wild when first going to bed?

      just wondering. and is it really that hard? just asking this becuase when i go to bed at night, i go to sleep around 2 or 3 am, so i am really really tired. do you think i would be able to wild when first going to bed?

      Yeah you should be able to - I have in the past no problem, but it was when I was really tired though.

      Yes, all three lucid dreams i've had were at bedtime. You just have to stay very aware because it's too easy to fall asleep.

      The reason it's more difficult is because very few dreams occur in non-Rapid Eye Movement (NREM) sleep, and when you first go to sleep you have to go through 4 stages of NREM sleep before getting to REM.

      It's certainly possible, but you'll probably have either a sketchy LD, or be laying for so long that you may just make a permanent impression in the bed. I've tried it before, and I reached SP, but waited forever and didn't have a dream, likely for the reasons stated above. Your body will "fall asleep", but a dream won't be incubated.

      If you're deprived of enough sleep you'll go straight into REM when you fall asleep. I WILD naturally when I'm sleep deprived this way.
