I think I met my dream guide...and his name is Alan?

Sorry if this is a bit long, but it just happened about an hour ago and I'm so excited! -

Ok this is by far the stragest lucid experience I have ever had. This occured sometime between 4-6 pm while I was taking a nap. I tried doing a WILD and it totally worked (I'm so excited this is my first one), I read about the "vibrations" people experience but had no idea how intense they would be, followed by the most colorful and beautiful images which seemed to be dancing around me. Then quite a bit later I went lucid and heres what happened:

This was different from any lucid I've had because usually I have total control and have never talked to anyone, but in this one it was strange because I was completely lucid and had absolutely no control for some reason.

So I am riding my bike up this street, seems like a hill in San Francisco and I stop at a house and go up to the door. This short little cheery bald guy answers the door and tells me that he's been waiting for me and that I have much to learn. He introduces himself as Alan. I go inside and he takes me though his house which reminds me of a zen garden, lots of plants and ponds with fish in them. He teaches me how to pick up a fish and talk to it, which I do. Then he continues to take me around his "home" and teaching me different lessons. At one point when we are going up to the next floor there is a huge gap in the stairway...but he tells me that I can do whatever I want here, that there are no limits like there are in the real world. So I float up over the gap in the stairs. One thing I remember is that he had SUCH a sense of humor I was laughing almost the whole time. At one point I noticed a can of dog food and asked if he had a dog, and he says...oh no thats for my girlfrend, but she doesn't come around too often shes not a very good lucid dreamer. He continues to teach me lessons until I eventually start to lose lucidity and wake up. The strange thing was that I felt like a visitor in HIS lucid dream, and only had control when he helped me to realize it.

I don't know if Alan is my dream guide or not, because honestly that is the last person I would think of as being a dream guide which is why I find this really humorous...I'm just so exctied that I finally had a WILD and a LD since I haven't had one in weeks.

There's a way to test if your DG is really a DG.
Ask him to show his love for you. If he's real, you will feel something very special and warm. If he's not, result may vary...

Wow! That was one intense LD!

I've never tried to summon my dream guide yet. Maybe it's time.

Yeah its really strange because I had absolutely no intention of meeting this person, nor did I even think to summon my dream guide...but in my dream it was like I knew exactly where I was going - like I had been there a hundred times. It's really strange I feel so strongly that this is a real man living in San Fran or somewhere although I know that notion is ridiculous. He just seemed so real its hard to believe my mind made him up!?

Wow, that's really cool. Do you recall specifically any of the lessons he taught you? (Aside from what you already mentioned).

No unfortunately when I woke up I rolled over to look at the clock and forgot to lay still...therein forgetting nearly half my dream! I don't remember any other specific things other than what I mentioned, just that he was teaching me how to do the things I want in my LDs and that he was so funny and nice. I'm interested to see if this guy is just a fluke or if he appears in any other of my dreams to teach me anything else, until then I won't make any assumtions that he's my DG I guess. I'll keep you guys updated.

I would suggest thinking of some questions you might have about the dream world, then keeping them fresh in your mind before you go to bed. You might get some answers!

You can always ask him who he is. If you din't believe his answer then keep pushing it. Dream people can give really weird answers, some of them might even make sense, in a weird sort of way. I don't think dream guides should be lieing so you might be able to tell.
