Yes, in Sleep paralysis, you are completely paralyzed. But one thing that I have realized about SP is that its only as frightening as you make it. When WILDing, try to relax through SP and you'll realize that its not as bad as its hyped up to be. You might even learn to enjoy it like I and many others have.

Is getting out of a lucid the same as getting out of any dream, as in if my alarm goes off will I awaken?
Sometimes it is, sometimes it isnt. You dont always get out of lucid as a result of waking up, sometimes you can loose lucidity in the dream.

Try sleep w/ a fan on, if you focus on something like that w/ a low, constant sound than you'll see how much it helps clearing your mind. Also, try counting down from 100 to yourself in between each of your slow, deep breaths like:
(inhale)... (exhale)... "100". (Inhale)... (Exhale)... "99". (Inhale)... (Exhale)... "98",etc. You might find that this helps out a bit.

When I ask this I do not mean performing reality checks to find out, I mean when WILDing is there a way to know for sure you have entered the dream state, Also is the feeling when your body falls asleep a heavy feeling?
You will know w/o a doubt when you're dreaming after a WILD. Its the feeling when SP is complete that you feel a huge shift in consciousness, that feels like you're falling through *your bed, walls, and/or ceiling. That's the only way I can explain the feeling of your body being asleep.
