Thread: My first recall in a long time!+A conversation with my subsonsious!

Ok. Every once in a while, I stop writing in my DJ for a while, and my recall goes down the drain. But usually I can get it back by writing in my DJ for a coulple more days. Well, I decided I wanted it back. 5 days went by, and still no recall. I was doing everything I could to get it back. Well, not everything. This is what I did last night:


Listened to over an hour of Subliminal Recall Music

Named my Subconsious

Lots of Autosuggestion

100mg of B6

Had a real conversation with my subconsious (I could swear I wasn't just making up answers)

Read tons of LD stuff

More autosuggestion


And guess what?! I remembered one full dream! All that hard work paid off! Now if only I knew which one made it happen...

Oh, and this is how my conversation went with my subconsious (after I worked on naming her for a day) (Her name is Spice )

Rebecca-Hey Spice
Spice-uhh... yeah?
Rebecca-I'm so glad I can talk to you
Spice-uhhh yeah.. me too
Rebecca- Can everyone talk to their subconsious?
Spice-Some people, about half
Rebecca-Cool
Spice-yeah...
Rebecca-(hmm, I wonder if I am talking to her or just my consious mind)
Rebecca-hey spice?
Spice-yeah?
Rebecca-what was the name I almost named you? (there is no way I could get this right by myslef... it was 4 days ago and it was a super random name!)
Spice- uhh... Maria Jones.
Rebecca-(omg! she got that so quick, I didn't have a clue of rememberance!)) thanks.
Spice- umm... no problem
Rebecca- why haven't I been remembering my dreams latley?
Spice- you haven't been trying hard enough
Rebecca- wha- what? I have been trying really hard.
Spice- well, idk
Rebecca- can you make it come back?
Spice-ummm... maybe...

Spice- ah, ok.
Rebecca-thank you so much ^.^ how many dreams will i have tonight?

The next morning, i remembered one dream

Rebecca-hey spice?
Spice-yeah?
Rebecca-can you communicate with other supconsiousnessess?
Spice-no. well, yes. but minds dont like talking to eachother.
Rebecca-oh. will i remember any more of my dream later on in the day?
Spice-yes
Rebecca-randomly?
Spice-no, you will see something
Rebecca-ok... cool

I haven't remembered the rest yet, but hey, the day isnt over yet.

So what do you think? Was I really talking with her?

About five minutes ago, I asked my subconsious:

Rebecca: Why haven't I seen my memory trigger object?
Spice: You already have
Rebecca: crap... and i didn't notice it?
Spice: nope, you weren't paying attention

Were you sleeping for this chat? If not, how were you able to talk to your subconscious directly?

Maybe there's something to direct communication. Maybe I'll try to meet my subconcsious in a lucid sometime.

How exactly do you two strike up a conversationw ith your subconcious? When you're laying in bed, about to go sleep, do you just think to yourself? Or is it during a LD? Please tell me xD.

Also, how do you talk to it while you're awake? Sorry, i'm kind of a newb at this. I did join a few months ago, but on an oldddd name that I forget the information to. I'm just now managing to have a WILD/ short LD...

When I talk to my subc. while I'm awake I go into my writing studio and sit down. I drink some tea and relax. Then I pick up a pen and some paper. I write my first question or greeting, then see if my subc. will reply. The converstation is written. I think that works so well for me because I'm a writer and it is a comfortable format. Often it will go something like this:

me: Hey. I need to talk.
subc.: It's about time!
me: Yeah, I knew there was a problem. What is it?
subc.: You're ....

Then the conversation goes on from there. I'm not going to share any of these actual conversations because they, naturally, are really personal.

When I talk to my subc. in a LD it goes something like this:
I know I'm dreaming.
I know there is a problem brewing, so I want to talk about it.
I approach a DC (or a DC approaches me) and ask if they can talk on behalf of my subc.
Then we talk.

I just talk to her in my head. (While I'm awake) She told me she doesn't appreciate it when I post our conversations. I guess it is meant to be personal.

So you just make yourself comfortable, then pose questions to yourself and take the answers that immediately jump into your mind?

Yep, that is how it works for me. Sometimes I don't get any answers -- it feels like my conscious mind is trying to force it, and sometimes makes up stuff. When it works it feels like an actual conversation -- I'm not sure what the reply will be. Sometimes it is really startling.

I find that my subc. is much more honest than my conscious mind. It won't lie to me or try to protect my feeling from getting hurt.

I totally understand what TheMoon is saying. The subconscious is very much a part of us. It controls us more than we like to think, this is why I want to be on such good terms with mine. I want to know what is going on and what I can do to make my life run more smoothly. I like to think of my subc. as my friend.

When you think about it that's actually true.
People communicate a lot visually (expression, body language).
Sub-conscious may well be more aware if this than your conscious mind.

I tried this last night, but nothing really happened. I my subconsiousness asked why I couldn't have a good conversation with it. It said I wasn't trying. I must've been tired, because I remember some really cool spikey turtles running around in my mind. I tried talking to it again, but the turtles just turned into spikey rabbits. Maybe I should try it when I'm not tired.

This would help if you didn't have ADD wouldn't it?

It's hard to concentrate on one thing...

And then I sometimes wonder off in my mind and think about other things instead of trying to talk to my SC.
