      Would this count as lucid?

Well in my dream I was asleep and I was dreaming another dream. In that dream I became lucid and I think I controlled some of my actions so I'm just wondering whether or not this would be considered a lucid.

I would personally say it is a lucid if you consider it a lucid... it's not if you wouldn't consider it one. Your mind is what you make it.

how AWARE you are of the fact that you are dreaming determines to what extent your dream is lucid. CONTROL is important but awareness more.

It's kinda hard to explain so I'll just say how it went. To lessen some of the confusion lets call my real body body1 and my dream body body2. Also lets call my actual dream dream1 and my dream inside the dream dream2.

In my dream1 I was dreaming that I was already asleep and I was having a dream2. Me and my friend were walking around and I asked him was he lucid yet and then we both became lucid. I started smiling cause I thought I was lucid and I was getting excited. I thought I could feel my body2 smiling too cause I was smiling inside the dream2 so I felt I was close to waking up back into my body2, so I calmed myself and I didn't awake from dream2. I started teleporting around and then I woke up soon after that into my body2. I think that I controlled myself to teleport but since it was in dream2 I can't really be sure if the dream just made me think I wanted to do it. So I was still dreaming and I ran and talked to my friend and he said that he had the exact same dream so we concluded that we had a shared dream.

Then the actual dream ended and I woke up.

Ah, just thought of the easiest way to explain it.

I was dreaming that me and my friend were walking and I asked him if he was lucid yet. Then we both became lucid and I was getting excited and I was smiling and I could feel my actual body smiling too so I tried to calm myself. I think I controlled myself to start teleporting around and then soon the dream ended.

I dreamed all of that in the paragraph above.. So basically that was a lucid dream inside my actual dream. So would you guys consider this a lucid dream? I'm not sure if I controlled myself to teleport around or not because it was a dream inside a dream and the actual dream coulda just made me think that. It's kind of confusing but if you need more explanation just ask.

Control doesn't matter. It's nice to have it, but it means nothing if you weren't conscious of it. Since you knew you were Lucid, then it was a Lucid Dream, whether you were in control or not, or whether you were fully conscious or not.
