Why is this happening to me?

I have the most horribly unrealistic dreams and I still can't realize that I am dreaming.

I've attempted WILDing for almost a month now and I go back to sleep, but I go into a dream I have no control of. For instance, I saw people in hazzard suits in a snow storm at my OLD house.

Then my parents started smoking pot in the 2nd dream last night.

Last night I went to bed telling myself,"I'm going to dream." I can't seam to wrap my mind around what I could be doing differently... I've tried DEILDing some too. The 3 lucids I've had so far were DILDs.

I haven't used the journal in about a week. Yeah I do RC's quite a bit. I usually get plenty of sleep too. Almost 8-9 hours average.

this happens all the time. when it comes to dreams, seeing is believing. the only thing I can say is use a DJ and do RCs. You said DEILD works good? Just try that every night.

Well I don't know if DEILD works cause it's never worked so far but if I had to guess I could learn it easier than a WBTB. I've always had good luck with getting back into the same dream if I really want to, just never been lucid. (Except for the 3 LDs that I had a year ago that were DILD.)
