Dream character knowing I am going to wake up

Ok, this dream is related to the reoccurring dream I posted here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=68242

A reoccurring dream theme I have is that I will be walking around a neighborhood knocking on people's doors looking for someone. For about the past month or so, I have been looking for Keanu Reeves in my dream. Anyway,in this dream in particular, I came upon a large, plain tan house. I knocked on the door, and this chubby guy with long curly hair and a beard answered.

I asked him, "Is Keanu here?"

      To which he responded, "No."

Then I go, "Well, do you have his cell phone number?"

Then the guy responded, "Yeah, and I better give it to you while we're both still here," and beckoned me into the house.

Shortly after the character said this, I woke up. I don't think I was lucid in the dream. I just thought it was interesting that the character seemed to sense that I was about to wake up. Maybe I knew subconsciously I was going to wake, so I mentally tried to speed up the dream, lol.

This is possible. I've had the experience of DCs anticipating events in the dream. However it is also possible that DCs say something (maybe randomly) and then the dream changes to fit what they have said. What do you think?

I like to think that since DC's in my opinion are a manifestation of our subconcious that it only makes sense that they can kind of know when we're going to wake up. It's interesting discussing everyone's different theories on it though.
For in Dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own.

maybe our dreams are already planed out in a story line (we only use like 2% of our brain anyways)
so maybe it glitchs like that...

like a bombs gose off at the end of your dream, and you ask for someones number, and thay say "yeah let me get it to you before were dead: or something like that..

That's an interesting twist on it.

That could be it. There was a time where a DC told me something to the effect of "don't fall off the cliff/ledge/balcony" and later in the dream, I did end up falling off something, and I woke up on the ground. Now I know dreams will coincide with actual events (radio going off will be in the form of voices of DCs in your dreams) but I found it unusual that they accurately predicted what would happen.

At the time I thought it was a coincidence, but I'd like to think that the dream changed to reflect what they said, and it ended up coming true, in the real world.

Haha, not sure. I haven't really ever payed attention enough. It's a sure as hell good of a dream sign though when they randomly change conversation to talk about the falling prices of Honda Civics.

Actually, I think I may try to induce a lucid with this tomorrow. I just have to make sure it's not too loud, that usually wakes me up.

Put the radio on at a certain time, so when I hear a distinct change in their voices; I'll know it's a lucid dream.

That is a great idea! Since you hear actual sounds from waking life in your dream it makes a lot of sense.

Thanks. I was never very good at recognizing dream signs, even though I've found quite a few.

I'll try it tonight and I'll let you know how it goes.
