How did you find out about Lucid Dreaming?

For me, it was the "Human BOdy" documentiries on Discovery. What about you?

I am sure this has been asked before...

By far, Mothra (in all of it's forms) is the worst kaiju of all time.

You know, I don't remember exactly, but I'm PRETTY sure I found out about them from doing online research/reading about dreams, back around 1995 or 1996.

I was looking at the entry on sleep at Wikipedia, and on the way clicked on dreams when I realized quite suddenly that I hadn't remembered my dreams in years. From the entry on dreams, I followed the link to the main article on Lucid dreaming after becoming curious at the short summary.

I had a few lucid dreams before I knew what they were, but I didn't know they could be controlled untill I watched that special. And God bless that special.

By far, Mothra (in all of it's forms) is the worst kaiju of all time.

I knew it could be controlled the moment I realized what it was. I just didn't know the name

I have tried to find this elusive special, but then I realized... didn't you post it once upon a time?

I've been having LDs since I was a kid. But it never occured to me that they were anything special. It also didn't occur to me to try to control them. Until I saw a clip on them on the SciFi channel.

I learned about LDing from a friend while i was explaining to him a dream I had the night before. After talking to him i started to do research about it online and ended up at this site which was very helpful.

I first heard about Lucid Dreaming when I was just watching Youtube videos at random and I came across this video somehow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c21d-aJHyzc I think I was looking up those crazy LSD effect videos. By the way, does anyone know if this actually works? I never really went back to the video after I read up on Lucid Dreaming.

I was reading How Dreams work on How Stuff Works. It sounded pretty cool, so I clicked on a link it gave which I think was this site.

There was an article about lucid dreaming in Reader's Digest a few years ago. I read it, searched the web, and ended up at Dream Views.

      Discovered them on my own.
Eventually read a psychology text which had a short chapter on the same.
It refered to Laberge, so I bought his book.

Well, from doing it as a kid
But I took it for granted.. only found out about the term much later. I think I saw it in an old text document I found lying around on a friend's PC
