      The rubbing hands technique? Its supposed to increase vividnes.
      Either that, vitamins or practice.

      Yes, rubbing your hands together while dreaming is used to increase vividness in your dream.

      But this would be easier to achieve while Lucid, so if you just want a vivid dream, then you could try that apple juice thing. Although, I've never read that apple juice has done anything to help with vividness in a dream.

      For lucid dreams, try the hand-rubbing technique that Walms and slayer mentioned, or spinning.

      For regular dreams, you could work on your dream recall to remember your dreams more vividly. As for the dream itself being vivid, I'm not sure.
