I wouldn't read a fresh page every night. Even if I skim it, it'll be pretty fresh in my memory for an easy conscious recall. If I glanced at it too fast to read anything, I wouldn't really call it part of my experience. Even so, trying to remember a specific book and page number that I just chose to look up would be hard in the dream.

What I'd do is take a book I'm already very familiar with and choose a page out of that to look up in the dream, without reviewing the page while awake. Aiming for the same thing every night will be a lot easier to remember to do dreamside, and a favorite book is definitely part of one's experience.

I choose a page that has symbolic meaning, like 666 pretty hard to forget.

good luck on your experiment. Just remember. KNOW it will work. doubt will probably result in failure.
Do not try and bend the spoon--that's impossible. Instead only try and realize the truth...there is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends

      it is only yourself

Exactly! Don't even consider failure as a possibility.
