Thread: Is the images a taste of dreams to come?

A common feeling that´s been present the last years (most probably since I got int LD), is the feeling of seeing random images right before I enter dreamland. I can´t really explain what type of pictures it is since they´re extremely random. I think the last one I had (during powernap an hour ago) was some kind of chair or the like The thing about these kind of single, seemingly random pictures is that they´re very clear and solid. As if I would watch a chair in waking life. Because these images is something else than just "thougt" images, which is abstract and distant, I suppose that what I see is some kind of fragment or "taste" of a coming dream. I´we tried to control (change) these pictures but have failed.

I´ve only had one LD in my life, a short intense one, so I kind of now a dream feeling. These feelings gives the same type of really comforting relaxement in my mind. I guess they´re as close as I come to LD until the ordinary struggeling with RC´s and DJ pays back.

Does anyone else experience the same type of phenomena? Is there any way of using them in my strive for successful LD´s?

Hypnogogic Imagery! Thats what this is It is the perfect tool to enter Lucid Dreams. I have this myself, where it is almost like random day dreaming as you are tierd that you keep moving through. When you start to experience them, focus on one "dream" of it and try to stay with it as you fall asleep. If you remain focused, you can enter right into a Lucid Dream from this state. Good Luck.
