      Falling asleep in an LD

I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried to go to sleep in an LD. I want to know if its possible and/or what would happen. Thanks

you'd either wake up in RL or have an FA or teleport to some place. Haven't tried it myself since my goal atm is NOT to wake up (for a long period of time, that is)
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

If you wake up in real life, you can try to DEILD

according to carlos castanada this is one of the goals of "Dreaming" - with a slight variation. here is what you do - fall asleep in a dream, in the same position that you originally fell asleep in. (of course you have to be lucid to tell yourself to do this.)

what happens is that you have a lucid dream of a lucid dream, and yes - i have done this. i've only experienced it once, but the dream-in-a-dream was utterly unlike a normal dream (lucid or otherwise). it felt sort of hyper-real and hyper-dreamlike at the same time. i can't really describe it; you should check it out for yourself.

      good luck, nemo

I did this on accident in one of my dreams recently but I didn't actually go to sleep. I was told to go to sleep and get some rest so I went upstairs in the house that I was in and got into bed but I was much more interested in the things that were going on downstairs so after a couple minutes of laying there I got up and went downstairs; I did try to go to sleep in my dream though. It was very surreal.
