      Talking SP question

      I was just wondering about when I'm trying to SP sometimes my hand will just move really fast as if I had a reflex to something but its unvoluntearly and I'm even impressed that my hand did this. Somtimes it just closes without my mind even telling it to do that. My question is, whn it does that, do I have to restart all again, does it count as moving or should I just ignore it?

      P.S. To anyone who is scared of SP... Don't worry, The only fear you should have is the fear to be scared. Don't be scared of the unknown... It's just a weird sensation, it won't kill you. I know it might be hard for you, lots of people are, that's why I'm pointing this out. We always have SP, every night, its just that your mind is asleep so you don't feel it. Don't worry 'cause without knowing you have experienced it so many times!

      It could be your mind testing you to see if your really asleep. Just don't pay attention to it, and you should continue to SP.

      It's not during the SP... I haven't really had an SP yet but I've been really close. I've felt hissing in my ears. Everytime I fail and stop, it kind of hurts to move and I feel a burn. It's not painful though, just weird...

      Doesn't really help that I haven't yet hit SP, but I have felt burning before. When my hand touched my face as I was trying to induce SP, it felt like it was on fire. And my feet will feel like they are burning sometimes....though you say it happens as you try to move, so perhaps that is unrelated. And as for failing, how long do you wait until you declare it a failure?

      No, its completly related... I call failure when my body wins the battle... When it burns. It's not painful... It's just that its uncomfortable so I start to think "I should take off my bed covers" and then I have a big argument on if I should move or not. I try but I can't but it doesn't take long too break that weak paralisis. But then I still keep my bed covers on Tonight I'll try ignoring that... I don't call failure upon time since I do this during time so I basecely do the same thing as anyone that goes to sleep except I make sure I don't move. (but then the burning them gets me ) lol... There's nothing to get scared of, its actually pretty fun but that's cause I'm weird

      I wouldn't worry about the burning sensation - but it does mean you have entered the first stages of SP. you were close to total SP!

      I didn't worry about the burning sensation, it actually gave me hope and your just adding more hope to it... Thanks

      Yes, I did suspect that my body was testing if my mind was asleep. My question is "Doesn't mean I've failed the test"
