      Unusual problem

Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like the following:

I can fairly easily tell when I am dreaming, I do it without a state test. It's just something that I intuit. The problem is, I don't actually attain lucidity, per se. I struggle in my dream trying to feel the lucidity I know is possible, but--even though I know I am dreaming--it doesn't occur. I still feel as asleep as if it were a regular dream. It's like I'm just not oriented to the fact that I am dreaming, even though I say it in my dream ("oh, I'm dreaming"). How can I recognize the state, yet not wake up in dream? It's really frustrating.

keep dreaming and stay relaxed....eventually you'll just get better at it over time. instead of worrying about when you're going to wake up, just enjoy the moments for what they are, and know that even if you do wake up, you can try a wake up back to bed, or mabye you'll end up in another dream with a false awakening. hopefully this helps

Follow Psylis' advice (sweet avatar btw ). Try to stabilize the dream every single time you become lucid to truly ground yourself.

Good advice! I guess I need to try and relax and not put too much pressure on myself...which is difficult because I think I should be further along by now!
