      Dreams of Lucid Dreaming

I've been having this weird thing happen lately where I'm dreaming, and then I recognize to some extent that I'm dreaming, so I begin dreaming that I'm having a lucid dream, but it's not really a full lucid dream, it's more like having a regular dream about having a lucid dream... which is really weird.

Has anyone else ever had this happen, and is there anything I should do differently or should I just keep doing more reality checks and writing down my dreams?

It's happened to me so many times it's ridiculous. I've only ever seriously noticed that I was dreaming from them once, maybe twice. I guess the best thing to do is not just do a single reality check and then go off on your way, but to perform multiple tasks involving all of your senses. Once you fail your first check, then maybe eat something and pay attention to the taste. Smell it to. Then maybe feel a wall or something with a rough texture. The more you expand on your reality checks, the better control you will have.

Many argue that what you are describing is, in fact, the closest thing to a lucid dream we are capable of.

The most you can do is keep up your efforts but keep in mind that this might be a result from actually trying too hard. You may be a meticulous person that likes to make their bed everyday. Instead, just try and casually approach lucidity.

What CatBus is also good - try different methods or add more to your existing ones. Diversify in your techniques from WILD to DILD etc. etc.

      Take your time.
