As the title says, whats an FA? i been searching on forums and i can't find anything for it.

False awakening. It's when you "wake up" but you're really still dreaming. That sounds like lucid dreaming depending on how you interpret the wording. A false awakening is simply a dream where you dream that you just woke up. You do not realize it is a dream, you think you have woken up and are back in reality. Usually, you can find ways to become lucid from false awakenings, but that is another story. A false awakening is simply dreaming that you just woke up.

Has anyone ever been stuck in a loop of FA's? It happened to me once when I was hung over and it was so tiring that it was almost painful.

I read a bit on here about people getting stuck in very long ones Were you lucid during those? I don't think, if I were lucid, it would be so bad. But false awakenings where you are doing tedious things really are obnoxious

But false awakenings where you are doing tedious things really are obnoxious I had a loop of about 5 or so and I wasn't lucid. Problem was I actually wanted to get up. During the FA's I was getting ready for work.

I just had one this morning. In my dream, I noticed it was light outside, even though it was night time. I asked my girlfriend, who made some excuse about it really being 8:30am, not 8:30pm. I realized this was BS, so became lucid. I immediately heard a loud noise like running water, which woke me up suddenly from the dream. I sat up in bed, and realized a pipe had broke in the bathroom, spraying water all over the place. Luckily, two plumbers were in bed with me. I woke them up, telling them to get out of my bed and go fix their shoddy workmanship in my bathroom. While they argued about who was to blame for the leak, I sat in bed wondering if I should wash my sheets after having these two big fatties sleeping on them.
