      I Dreamt I Became Lucid!!!

      Hello!

Well, basically, i dreamt that i became lucid IN my dream. It was a Dream within a Dream in which i (dreamt) i became lucid. The dream (the first dream) was about me learning to become Lucid from my next door neighbour (who doesnt exist) and in my Dream within the Dream (I dont even remeber falling asleep) i remember pinching myseld to see if i was dreaming bcause something that reminded me of lucidity arose (whcih happens all the time in my real life) - and i couldnt feel anything and was like "OH MY GOD! Im Doing it !" and got really excited. I didn't know how to check what i could do, so a girl with wierd Marylin Manson contact lenses came near me and i was like "Go Away" and she just gave me a wierd look. "Ok, try something smaller" so i tried to levetate a can of coke. Nothing. Nothing was going on, so i kept pinching myself (i presume most of you know what pain feels like in a dream) and it just felt like "pins and needles" so i was like "Maybe i am not dreaming". I then woke up from this "lucid" dream, went downstairs told my neighbour i did it, and had porridge (which related to a dream i had earlier that night.)

What does this mean. Surely if myb dream state becomes aware that he is dreaming, and pinches himself and confirms he is dreaming, why did i Reaaly not become lucid. It was like every other dream i have ever had. I just watched myself do these things. Is it because it was a double dream, so my real dream worked as a barrier of lucidity!? Why!?

Also, does this mean that i am closer to lucidity?

indubitably. Just prior to my first (well second- first one was random but it happened months ago) lucid I dreamt I was a dream character who became lucid in his dream. You are almost there!

Well it means that you're getting closer to lucid dreaming in some sort of way, since you dreamed about it... it should be a sign that the idea of lucid dreaming is always on your mind.

Maybe you went lucid for just a second but then the dream took over and you just went by the flow. It happened to me a lot of times.

RC every morning, before you do anything else! False awakenings were very frequent when I first began to lucid dream!

Awsome, i've been trying for over a month now. Just hope it wasn't a fluke. The thing was, after this dream, i went back to sleep and none of my follwing dreams were on the topic, so who knows?

Ive never had a false awakening an i dont think i have ever been in bed in a dream. I do reality checks constanly throughout the day, about 10 times a day.

I've dreamt about being lucid a whole lot. It really sucks that I can't actually go lucid.

Yes. The night before I had my first lucid I had a dream in which I fell asleep 3 times (I was sleeping in a drawer for some reason) and in each subdream I was playing chess, so I came to the conclusion that chess was a dreamsign. Then I decided to do a WILD in my drawer, and suddenly my body felt different. When I opened my eyes I knew I was lucid, until I discovered a full minute later I was in RL....

I WILDed in a dream once. It was pretty much like an actual WILD, but there was music playing and the HH pulsed with the beat. In my dream my WILD failed though, and I didn't become lucid even though I was still in a dream.
