stop trying so hard and stressing yourself out. Work on dream recall first. Lucid Dreaming (and all that it entails) = fun. If it's not then what's the point? |

TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
new goals: have more LD's than Shift[X]
10-15min LD [ X] Article: A day in the life of an LD-er
the "Mind V.S. Body" Induction technique
Everyman 2 LD's/ sleep schedule progress
You're obviously motivated enough to complain that you're not motivated. |

Try and enjoy the ride. I'm not having a huge amount of success. My LDs aren't lasting very long and the one that did last a while had me trapped in one room with almost no dream control. I find it a fascinating subject though and if I keep that in mind I don't mind waiting a little longer for it to happen. |

I think I have the same problem as you. I have tried to become Lucid in almost a year. But without success. ): giving up soon. |

Yeah, I've been having the same problem. I took a couple of months off and now I'm trying to get back into it. Now my problem is getting myself to write down my dreams... |

I got like this about a year ago when I just couldn't get a LD or AP for the life of me. It was very frustrating but I soon realised that I was trying too hard and as soon as I stopped trying and gave up on the whole thing I had a LD lol. |
|
my advice to you is realize that lucid dreams really arent anything to get stressed about not having. i mean, if you get one, you get one. but honestly, think about what you could be doing instead in real life. sometimes i get confused about whats important so i stop trying for a while and then come back after i have cleared my head. i have definitely been in your position. i would suggest taking a break. maybe youll get one in your break. |

Think about what you can do, if you succeeded. I stopped trying for a while now, it hard to keep writing your dreams down and try to lucid dream while you stay up late.. I did it once, it wasn't that long, though. But keep trying don't push too hard. |
|
Ok, so i will take a break for 1 or 2 weeks. |

it probably will... but you shouldn't complain about you not getting lucid if you arent doing everything your supposed to, like a dream journal.. very important stuff. |

When I lost motivation, I took a break for about a week. Then I watched Waking Life and all my motivation was back |

DILD: 2
Lucid dreaming is an amazing experience. You can literally do anything, experience anything, live any way. The possibilities are endless. You can experience happiness greater than anything felt awake. You can solve problems, converse with lost ones, go skydiving, walk on the moon, be anyone you want, all while you sleep. Once you get it, it is SO worth it. Who cares if it takes a while. As long as you aren't on your deathbed, you have plenty of time. If you are on your deathbed, then god help me I'm sorry. |
