Well it means that you're getting closer to lucid dreaming in some sort of way, since you dreamed about it... it should be a sign that the idea of lucid dreaming is always on your mind. |

Awsome, i've been trying for over a month now. Just hope it wasn't a fluke. The thing was, after this dream, i went back to sleep and none of my follwing dreams were on the topic, so who knows? |
|
I've dreamt about being lucid a whole lot. It really sucks that I can't actually go lucid. |
|
This may be stupid, but a lucid dream in a normal dream doesn't count as a lucid dream? I mean what makes this one different? |

False awakenings: 3 in row in one night. That was scray.
I don't think that I've ever dreamed that I was dreaming. But I relate to the frustration of not becoming lucid. A few days ago in a dream, I saw my dream sign and performed the nose reality check. It passed, though, so I assumed I was awake. When I woke up, however, I found that I had been breathing through my mouth, not my nose! If only I had done another RC, I might not have missed becoming lucid. |

There's just a subtle difference in detachment that separates dreaming of lucid dreaming and lucid dreaming itself. |
|
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
Some people argue that dreaming of having a lucid dream is really just a very low lucidity level. A lucid dream is just a dream where you know you're dreaming; in the definition there's nothing about controlling yourself. You should be able to tell the difference once you've experienced them (one or both), if you haven't already. |

...I GET IT! |

Just the other night I had a dream in which I patiently explained to someone that the weirdness that had just been happening was simply because we were in a dream, and yet that didn't phase me at all I was not lucid at all. I woke up a little disappointed with myself (in the past, remarks like that have usually triggered at least low level lucidity). But now I'm pretty sure it just means I'm getting closer to attaining regular lucidity (I've only been reallly working at it for a few weeks now). |

Yes. The night before I had my first lucid I had a dream in which I fell asleep 3 times (I was sleeping in a drawer for some reason) and in each subdream I was playing chess, so I came to the conclusion that chess was a dreamsign. Then I decided to do a WILD in my drawer, and suddenly my body felt different. When I opened my eyes I knew I was lucid, until I discovered a full minute later I was in RL.... |
