      Lucid Dreaming to lose weight

I have been thinking about lucid dreaming alot recently, one of the things that popped into my mind was a really intense dream i had where i could taste things.
This got me thinking that if you, in a dream, eat things like junk food (pizza, mcdonalds etc.) and were able to taste it, wheither it will remove such cravings in real life therefore helping you to lose weight.

my theory is probs a load of nonsence, but i would like your comments on whiether you think its possible.

      thanks

I swear... I've seen this before. Not commonly though.

The last one I saw's theory was to eat as much food as you can, and you would then feel so repulsed by it in waking life, you wouldn't want to eat anything.

As to whether it worked or not... I have no idea.
      Bollocks.

It is supposed to fill a mental craving. If you ever get a craving for something in real life, just tell yourself that you can eat it in a dream.

have you read Stephen Laberges book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming"? If not i would suggest getting it. not only is it very interesting it also has answers to a lot of the questions here on the forums.
if i remember right Laberge talks a bit about this subject.
i dont know your lucid history, but i know from experience that lucid food is the bomb.com. its sooo good. laberge talked about how one woman refrained from eating desserts among other things during the day because she knew she could eat them the following night in her dreams. a pretty good motivation for lucid dreaming i think.
as for its effectiveness... i dont think we can honestly say whether or not it works. i would like to hope it would, but im pretty sure weight loss comes down to the same thing either way, self control.

I bet that this would help, but not eliminate cravings. In one recent lucid, I was eating chocolate pie and it tasted sooo good. But it was like I was tasting it with my mind, ya know? It's not the same.
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

I don't think your theory is stupid, its definitely interesting. I mean I've never tried that to see if it will work, but, I'll make it one of my goals whenever I am able to become lucid at will
