      The Futre of Lucid Dreaming?

      Hi,

      Had an interesting idea today.

I was reading today these new brain interfaces produced by a company called 'Emotiv Systems'. They allow people to control games etc, by reading your brainwaves. They will be out soon.

Imagine what will be possible when people start to hack these things? You may be able to wear it to sleep and train it to alert you exactly when your are dreaming or starting to become lucid.

These may be our answer to the 'Lucid Dreaming Machines'. The new and improved Nova Dreamer?

      Just a thought.

there have been a couple of disscusions about wether people have been able to read brainwaves with a computer or even if its possible. i personally think it is possible, and with that in mind my reply to your thought is, yea that would be awsome (i dont know if you mean it implants a thought into your mind, is it?), but imagine how expensive.

another thing people have brought up is the possibility of recording dreams, easier than a DJ and holds more detail, also has the same(or more) effect on recall.

They reckon the devices will be about $250. You could write some software to recognise when you are dreaming\lucid dreaming and then give yourself an alert. Looking forward to trying this out.
