Superheroes, subterranean spirits, and intergalactic war

I wasn't sure whether to post this in the lucid experiences forum or not - seems to be some overlap as to what subject matter goes where...

I have to say that I was quite a comic book buff while growing up or maybe a wannabe buff since I borrowed and read my brother's comics mostly I spent much of my time reading comic books, buying comic books, and frequently perusing the shelves of the comic book shops for many years. The comic book artists' mythology, symbology, and imaginations were deeply imbedded in my mind, and so inevitably, as my dream lucidity has progressed over the years from simple awareness to gradual control from about the age of seventeen to the present (I'm now nearly 29), the themes within the comic books (I prefer to call 'em graphic novels) have emerged with A VENGEANCE.

In other words, of late, many of my dreams have been about discovering new worlds, some half the size of earth with extreme desert climates, decreasing my density so that I can fit the milky way (galaxy not candy bar) in the palm of my hand, and sliding at the speed of light down spirals of nothingness into other dimensions where only evil exists... Not to mention my lucid dreams are often populated by colliding stars, members of the Green Lantern Corps. and legions of subatomic creatures who seek my demise by trying to seduce my ego. ANyway, I've found that wars seem to erupt out of nowhere , and while in the midst of them, I am utterly reminded of wars between the Justice League and their evil counterparts, the Beyonder and the fate of human souls being held in the hands of celestial beings beyond our sight, yet just beneath our noses... any thoughts? similarities? comments?

I wish my dreams were like that believe it or not. to tell you the truth i love dreaming for the adventure that it gives me. especially ones that have me on a quest or fighting some dude with superpowers and its even more fun when i have DC's on my side fighting. i find it kind of weird though that you're mind started to have these kind of dreams and all those wars going on. wars are a rare thing for me.

i probably should read up on dream incubation again and try to make my dreams in those kind of situations...only problem is that dream incubation is a bit of hard work...

ill comment more later..i have to go to do something now.

      I really enjoy superhero dreams!!!!

(I prefer to call 'em graphic novels)[/b]
Nooooooooooooooo! they are comics man, C-O-M-I-C-S no need for pretenious defintions, they are not graphic novels, they are comic books, grahic novels adds a level of evil to comics and takes away the mystic quality of the name comic. (lol)

I love to dream about superheros, i had one last week where Spiderman was The Green Goblin- it was like Jekell and Hyde syndrome! I remember that about 6 months ago i became a superhero in a lucid dream, i was able to jump really high onto a building, it was a really gothic setting (much like the Crow) It was dark and damp, im sure if i had become more aware i could have kicked some butt (lol).

After watching X-men reccently, i am much more aware that we are all superheros waiting to find our true colours and true powers! we are not mutants or freaks, we may be different but different is never bad.

These kind of dreams are awesome, The feeling of being in such an epic adventure is hard to match.
My Superhero dreams seem to centre more on the macabre ala Spawn, which is mainly me venturing into Hell and laying the smackdown on various demon badies.
But they are truely awesome, enjoy your Superhero adventures.

I used to be harsh into X-Men and various other Marvel comics. I still remember a good handful of dreams involving them, this is the first one that comes to mind.

Wolverine, Gambit and Captain America are in the Savage Land hunting some crap I can't remember, they stop by a tree. All of a sudden Captain America gets an arrow stuck in his leg and Kazar or something jumps onto Gambit. Wolverine takes out Kazar and comes back to Capt America who is still wounded by the tree. He asks "Where's Gambit?" and Wolverine says "he got his brains picked out."

I still remember that dream from so long ago... wonder why
Existance has no beggining nor end, but will always have purpose.

Comic book dreams are the best! Nothing beats a fantastical adventure!
The best times of your life should not be when you're still so young, or else you'll live a life always dreaming of the past.
