      Having trouble with Lucid Dreaming?

Me too! That's why I watched this Youtube series: Lucidology 101
If you haven't and you're serious about lucid dreaming, watch them now. Most of the books you've read are wrong! For example, many books tell you to try to lucid dream in the afternoon or at night. These are the WORST times to try! The best time to try for lucid dreams is in the morning! This is when your melatonin levels are low and your serotonin levels and cortisol (responsible for the fight or flight response) are beginning to rise. For more information on this, and other amazing bits of information, such as why T.V. is bad news for lucid dreamers, visit youtube.com and search Lucidology 101.

I am not the maker of this series, but it is easily the best free resource for in depth lucid dreaming information, specifically techniques in the world. It will tech you the real science behind achieving lucidity. If you're serious about achieving lucidity you'll want to watch the video and take notes. There is lots of terminology and techniques to be learned that will give you a much greater understanding of exactly what a lucid dream is and how to achieve one. You will also learn the major mistakes that almost all lucid dreaming books tell you to do!

Did I mention these are FREE?
I just thought this is the best thing since sliced bread so here you go! Also, seeing as many (even some of the most experienced) members here are following significantly flawed techniques, I'd urge the whole dreamviews community to watch these videos. Lets all become a little bit more educated and make the world just that much less ignorant (not to offend anyone, but many of us really are ignorant as hell).

P.S. Please report any success you have with the techniques he mentions. It'll be good to try them out.

I've been watching them too, I also went ahead and downloaded the accompanying .pdf from their website, although the second half is basically a big advertisement for lucidology 102 (which I want to buy now, but I'm going to wait a bit probably). And I wasn't aware that books told you to do it at night? In EWLD, which I haven't read in awhile so I may be wrong, I remember a lot of emphasis on the wake-back-to-bed technique after five hours of sleep, same with another book I read. Well I'm about to go try the stop, drop and roll method, just popped 100 mg B6, I'll report back after my lucid dream .

Please do! I'd love to know how well the techniques work! To be honest... Lucid dreaming kinda freaks me out... I'm one of those people who worry about having a nightmare (even though I never do).... I also HATE the vibrations and the SP... Help anybody?

don't worry about it so much. if you are calm, you probably won't notice it happening. after that just wait for the hypnogogic imagery to come and you're on your way! that's what works for me, but it might be different for you. could be sounds, vibrations, I can't be sure.

Well I did stop, drop and roll and right after i rolled onto my side I felt SP coming on. It never felt like I got full SP but I just kept concentrating on my mantra ("I'm dreaming). Eventually I started getting strong HI and it was forming small dreamscenes. At this point I felt my awareness slipping away but for some reason i didnt fight it and decided to go to sleep. Better luck next time I hope, but SDR did get me into SP quite effortlessly.
