A dream i feel bad about

Leme start of by saing it's been a bit since I've been on here, been working at Walmart and D&D sessions are a bit of a time eater. But I'm back for those who remember me. So The other night I had a dream, I stayed up till bout 5 am coz i was feelin ill (had to call in work that day) and after i called in, i fell asleep, I had a vivid dream where i was a SWAT officer in a house of a knife murderer, Pete. They said "Smith, go upstairs and get him coz ur the new guy." So i head upstairs (its one of those houses with a balcony from the upstairs to see into a lower room) i head into Pete's room (hes asleep) and i train my gun on him, before i fire, a dog, that looked exactly like my own, jumped up and pay down on him. I figure "aww damn, i cant do it." So i leave and shout down" I can do it..." Right after pete is standing behind me with a knife saying 'Can't? or won't?" and he hurls a knife at me, it nicks my finger, and it bleeds a bit, and oddly enough it really stung. So he whipps out a hacksaw, and i grab one laying around and we begin a hacksaw hack n' slash into the kitchen, where he throws more knives at me. I finally catch one (after deflecting another with the hacksaw and dropping it) and he charges, so i stab him in the chest, and once more in the throat, than twice more as he is dying. People congratulate me and all, and i wake up, but i was sacred. I saw scared cuz I really felt like i wanted him dead, and it was a truly vivid dream, I mean I really wanted to kill this dude. and for a moment after i stabbed him, it felt good. So im a bit worried on whats goin on in my head. On a side note, my finger still stings every now and again where his knife nicked me..odd eh?

Thats just your natural instincts coming out. Everyone has it, but its suppressed throughout waking life because of our moral compasses, society & our upbringing. In a dream most of the time humans animalistic instincts come out more. It doesn't mean you're a bad person, Especially since you seem to feel remorse now. Just dont go getting any ideas for real life, thats all XD

It is not uncommon for things like this to feel good in dreams. There's nothing wrong with it, and it doesn't make you a bad person. I think it has to do with relieving stress, or something of the sort.

Like hazel said theres nothing wrong about. Every thing in dream can be good if you want it to be good and it doesn't make you bad person whatever you do.

Ah I hate having bad dreams like that, when you do something wrong or can't help someone then you wake up feeling bad for it and wish you could have the same dream over and over until you get it right Well, best thing I can tell you to do is to not think too much about it. Plus, he was trying to kill you

Goddamn, I must have killed/tried to kill like 7 people in my dreams today. Don't worry about it, you weren't even lucid. I always do things that I wouldn't normally do in non-lucid dreams.

Yep, I remember you from your avatar. (: But people do all kinds of things and feel all kinds of thigns that they would normally find immoral. I tend to think that in non-lucid dreams, we really don't control our actions or make decisions. We just experience the dream with this sort of go with the flow mind-set, almost like watching a movie. The dreams mean something, usually, even if all that a monster dream means is that we are thinking about Godzilla. That's only my hypothesis, of course, but even if it's wrong it doesn't mean that you are a violent person, I'm pretty sure. So there's that. Welcome back, by the way. I hope you stick around.

I hate dreams in which I am a complete coward. I once had this dream in which I crashed a car in a tunnel. A girl I was (am) in love with was in the back. When I woke up I was relatively close to the tunnel exit when the tunnel started collapsing. The girl was still stuck in the car. Because I was afraid of death, I ran out of the tunnel, and it collapsed. Not a nice dream, and it had quite an impact on me. I swear that next time that happens, I'm gonna die trying to save her.
