Thread: Can Lucid Dreaming lead to SP?

I have all my questions answered except for this one. Sleep Paralysis scares me very badly, even when I know it's sleep paralysis and nothing can happen. I really want to lucid dream, but if Sleep Paralysis can happen, I will not want to do it, only if I'm brave enough some day. lol

I'm guessing it could happen. But yeah I had 2 semi lucid dreams in the past and never experienced sleep paralysis. Hope I never do.

It's really not that bad. I've had 1 WILD and a few other experiences with SP (all very minor.) It can be a bit scary at first, but if you accept it, then it becomes very fun. In one case, it felt like my legs were slowly bending up, forming a V with my body, until the touched my nose. They of course weren't really, and I knew that. I also hear strange chirps and see flashes of light. Fun stuff. Don't be afraid.

Normally you'd only have to worry about sleep paralysis if you are trying to WILD. It is possible to wake up in SP, but I don't think lucid dreaming correlates with that. Besides, it's nothing to be scared of; it can actually be a very amusing experience.

Yea, I have some problems getting into SP as well except fear isn't my problem its excitement. When I feel the wave I start to get over excited and then my heart starts racing and my breathing intesifies and all of this results in losing the wave and thus not getting into SP.

You don't have to go trough SP while conscious in order to Lucid Dream.
There are many other methods that doesn't require going trough SP like DILD,
but as I heard you don't have to go trough SP even by trying WILD.
