      Question Uhm what happened?

Last night I changed the wild process around a little bit to help me focus more.
I decided I was gonna try. well i laid down for about 10 to 20 minutes and i started feeling a little weird and my feet and leg's were twitching, itching a little and feeling uncomfortable, I had to swallow extremely bad but didn't wanna mess up the process. next a while later i was hearing noises and then i started seeing swirls and colors but i kept feeling like my eyes were trying to open after a while the colors faded and everything stopped. I recently screwed up my sleeping schedule staying up all night so now when i go to bed at one im laying there for hours and im not very tired. does anyone have any suggestions or things i can do to help change the colors and swirls to a dream scene.?
      Thanks.
      much appreciated

Yea, I have the same problems when I stay awake until like 3 or 4 a few nights in a row. I just lay there, probably because my body just isnt ready for sleep. Probably why your technique isnt working just right. Try getting back on a normal sleep schedule and Ibet you'll see drastic changes ;-D

What helps me a lot is listening to the ringing sound thats around when nothing is making noise. Focus on that and whenever i do that the louder the ringing/buzzing becomes the more intense vibrations i feel, until eventually i float out of my body into a lucid dream. A bit frightening and uncomfortable at first...some of it was actually really painful when i first started, but when you get used to it its a lot of fun.

Your timing has to be right. Try doing the exact same thing, only at a time when you know you are due for a long REM cycle.

The way I enter a dream scene is by inducing tactile hallucinations. I try to imagine the feeling of movement in my body, or the feeling of touching something familiar. I keep visualizing it, trying to really feel it until it becomes real.
